about the founder
Georgette Kerr grew up in Wayne, Pennsylvania, one of
ten children. She attended West Chester University, and now
lives in Philadelphia with her husband and four children
ages 12 through 21. She has been a postpartum doula for
seven years. Georgette is certified through the Childbirth
and Postpartum Professionals Association (CAPPA), and is a
member of Doulas of North America (DONA). Georgette has
attended ongoing training sessions at The Maternal Child
Professional seminars through the Philadelphia Department of
Health, for additional breastfeeding instruction.

After the Stork LLC was founded in
1998 for the
purpose of providing active support for the growing family.
After the
Stork is a successful and active company with
several doulas working closely together.
All of the doulas are certified through CAPPA, all have CPR
certification as well as criminal and child abuse
clearances. All are formally trained in lactation support
and have extensive experience.
Most importantly, we all love children!
